Dear maintainers,

With a recent upload of plplot the autopkgtest of gnudatalanguage fails
in testing when that autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of
plplot from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from
testing. In tabular form:
                       pass fail
plplot from testing 5.15.0+dfsg-3
gnudatalanguage from testing 0.9.9-10
all others from testing from testing

I copied some of the output at the bottom of this report.

Currently this regression is blocking the migration of plplot to testing
[1]. Due to the nature of this issue, I filed this bug report against
both packages. Can you please investigate the situation and reassign the
bug to the right package?

Hi Paul,

this is a transitional problem only -- for some reason,
plplot-driver-xwin was taken in the old version, while libplplot17 was
taken in the new version. The new version of libplplot17 could not find
the old version of xwin, which was however required to run the gdl tests.

This part should work now; however in parallel GDL was binNMUed and
rebuilt with gcc-9 (instead of gcc-8) and then shows a different problem.

Cheers

Ole
