Gert, (VTK upstream here, for context for those who don't know me.) I'm glad to hear about this, looking at the VTK 7 packaging will help me in my own efforts to package VTK 9. I'm somewhat sad to hear that you're dropping Java, -doc, and -example. What are the challenges you're facing with
