i imagine i need a set of patched sources to get to compile gcc2.8.1 and
newer kernels... but i can't seem to find them.
i've looked in debian.org, redhat.com, rutgers.edu... but no luck.
can someone tell me where else can i look, or where should i double check?
also: how can i compile other
i don't understand *completely*, so i'd rather ask:
to run SunOS4 binaries i don't need anything at all besides S/Linux,
right? does this includes Netscape?
to run Solaris binaries i *do* need to set up iBCS, Solaris libs...?

i just installed debian on a SparcStation 4, and i can say everything went
ok. thanks for the install disks (i can't manage to net-boot these
things, which is keeping me from testing the ultrapenguin release...)
anyway, i have this new system up and running but i can't seem to
understand
reading the last messages i see that you actually have something like a
distro. I'm running RH 4.2 right now, but it's rather old and i'm having
problems with the GNU compilers that do not come with RH (g77, fpk,
smalltalk...) right now i work at college in a project to put together a
lab of 50
is the S/Linux proyect dead? where can i get the latest sources of the
kernel, userland... i need to upgrade my gcc and compile other gnu
compilers, but i can't seem to find any info on the port to Sparc...
any help will be *extremely* appreciated.
