Hello, I just installed a fresh potato, pointed my sources.list to the "unstable" branch, and executed apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade. Unfortunately, this terminated with an error about unmet dependencies. Here's the output of "apt-get check" if I run it now:
# apt-get check Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these. Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies: g++-2.95: Depends: libstdc++2.10-dev (>= 1:2.95.4) but 1:2.95.2-13 is installed libc6-dev: Depends: libc6 (= 2.1.3-18) but 2.2.2-4 is installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f. My system appears to be functional, but I'm not happy about these unmet dependencies. I'm scared to run "apt-get -f install" for packages as vital-seeming as libc6-dev and g++-2.95. Any thoughts? What went wrong with dist-upgrade? How can I make my system happy again? Thanks, Jeremy
