I suggest to remove aterm from Debian:
* Orphaned since 2008
* No more upstream-development (Upstream writes[1]: aterm is
deprecated and in a maintenance mode only; there will be no further
updates.)
* No UTF-8 or Unicode support
* Upstream recommends[1] to use rxvt-unicode instead

If you believe there is a strong enough demand for aterm, I can try to
