Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Chow Loong Jin hyper...@ubuntu.com * Package name: haserl Version : 0.9.27 Upstream Author : Nathan Angelacos nan...@users.sourceforge.net * URL : http://haserl.sf.net * License : GPL-2 Programming Lang: C Description : CGI scripting program for embedded environments Haserl is a small cgi wrapper that allows PHP style cgi programming, but uses a UNIX bash-like shell or Lua as the programming language. It is very small, so it can be used in embedded environments, or where something like PHP is too big. . It combines three features into a small cgi engine: * It parses POST and GET requests, placing form-elements as name=value pairs into the environment for the CGI script to use. This is somewhat like the uncgi wrapper. * It opens a shell, and translates all text into printable statements. All text within % ... % constructs are passed verbatim to the shell. This is somewhat similar to how PHP scripts are parsed. * It can optionally be installed to drop its permissions to the owner of the script, giving it some of the security features of suexec or cgiwrapper. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#543907: Netbeans 6.9 and Dependencies Ready for Upload
Hi Andres. On 24/01/2011 01:19, Andres Mejia wrote: I'll have you know that I have finished up work on getting netbeans-6.9 and all needed dependencies ready for upload to Debian. All work can be found in the Debian Java team's git repositories. Any review and possible enhancements and/or fixes that I've might have missed are welcome of course. Thanks for working on netbeans. Some time ago I packaged a small part of netbeans (particularly, org-openide-util-lookup) into the package openide-util, because a needed it as dependency of the package freehep-util. This library is now contained into libnb-platform12-java, so I'd like to drop my copy. Thus, I ask you these two things: 1) Could you please add a pom.xml file for openide-util-platform, so I can use it with maven (that freehep-util uses to build itself)? 2) Installing libnb-platform12-java requires about 20 MB of dependencies which are not necessary for just using openide-util-lookup. How difficult would it be to split the package in smaller library packages, so one can install them more selectively? Bug#611496: RFP: gnaural -- programmable binaural-beat audio generator
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: gnaural Version : 1.0.20101115 Upstream Author : Bret Logan gnau...@users.sourceforge.net * URL or Web page : http://gnaural.sourceforge.net/ * License : GPL Description : programmable binaural-beat audio generator Gnaural is a programmable “binaural beat generator”, based on the principle first described in October 1973 Scientific American, Gerald Oster, Auditory Beats in the Brain. There has been considerable research done on this principle since the Oster publication. Gnaural's predecessor, WinAural, has even been used as the audio stimulus in a study published in the proceedings of Biomedical Engineering 2004, The Induced Rhythmic Oscillations of Neural Activity in the Human Brain, D. Cvetkovic, D. Djuwari, I. Cosic (Australia), From Proceeding (417) Biomedical Engineering – 2004. The central idea of the Binaural Beat principle is that brain activity can be entrained to the auditory beat frequencies created when each ear is presented simultaneously with tones of slightly-differing frequency. It has been proposed that entrainment can be used to target specific mental states, ranging from restful and meditative to highly alert. Gnaural can output directly to your computer's soundsystem, or to an audio file (WAV format). Stereo headphones are required to maintain the stereo separation of the tones needed for your auditory system to create the binaural beats. Bug#504058: Packaging Zotero in Debian
retitle 504058 ITP: zotero -- program to collect, manage and cite bibliographic information thanks The conversation on this bug seemed to end two years ago with no consensus on what to do. Some people suggested that it would be useful to have the Zotero extension packaged in Debian. Others disagreed basically because they don't think FireFox/IceWeasel extensions should be packaged in Debian at all. In any case, recent upstream developments with Zotero change the situation. The next version of Zotero is being developed as a standalone application. As a result, this version of Zotero certainly should be packaged in Debian. I am a maintainer and very heavy Zotero user and I am happy to do it. There is currently an alpha version as Zotero Standalone. I'm going to create packages for Zotero standalone and I'll follow up with a link to them here. Probably when upstream releases a beta, I will upload those packages into Debian. I probably won't upload them before. Please contact me if you want to work on this or help, etc. Regards, Mako -- Benjamin Mako Hill m...@debian.org http://mako.cc/ Creativity can be a social contribution, but only in so far as society is free to use the results. --GNU Manifesto signature.asc Description: Digital signature
