Bug#659632: debian graphite-web enhancements

2012-12-12 Thread Mathieu Parent
2012/12/12 Frederic Junod frederic.ju...@camptocamp.com:
 Hello,

Hello,

 I've made some updates to your graphite-web debian package, you can
 found them in my github account:
 https://github.com/fredj/graphite-web/compare/debian-sid...next

Those changes are good, I will merge them soon.

There are currently two git repos for Debian packaging:
- Jonas's one: https://github.com/hggh/graphite-web
- mine: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/graphite-web.git

We should merge them, but I don't have enough time now (working on php-horde-*).

Jonas also proposed to create a packaging team, I have asked the
pkg-graphite group on alioth. Frederic: do you want to join?

Regards

Bug#659632: debian graphite-web enhancements

2012-12-12 Thread Jonas Genannt
Hello,

an pkg-graphite group is an good idea. But I don't know why you are
working with
http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/graphite-web.git that
packages are really behind the stuff on my github.

I have:

 - FHS clean
 - cronjobs
 - logroate jobs
 - manpages
 - post/preinst scripts
 - README
 - removed third party software

This package had passed an check by an DD, so it's quite ready to
upload. The d/copyright needs to be double checked, after that it's
ready to upload.

Greets,
Jonas

[1] http://packages.debian.org/sid/incron

Well, for me, killer features was (compared to incrond):
  * chain handlers (one event may have multiple handlers, which
executes untill one returns zero code)

  * built-in filtering support:
* file extension
* mime-type
* filename regexps
  * automatically watch newly created directories
  * written in pure c (instead c++)

All this, except last two may be implemented inside event handler, but
I'm quite lazy to reinvent wheels. :-)

Bug#493350: Very nice open source game (AstroMenace)

2012-12-12 Thread Dmitry Smirnov
Hi Boris,

Thank you for discussing game data licensing with upstream.

On Thu, 29 Nov 2012 06:52:36 Boris Pek wrote:
 After small discussion [1] I can give brief info about current situation
 with licenses for data files:
 * There are ttf fonts under own free licenses which compatible with GPLv3.

There are bundled fonts from fonts-liberation and fonts-freefont-ttf.

However source of one font file is unclear:

RAW_VFS_DATA/FONT/Ubuntu-B.ttf

 * Another part of 3D models was licensed from third-party design studio.
   And these files come under proprietary license.
 Now main developer is going to re-licence these proprietary files under
 CC BY-SA and to update main file with description of all copyrights and
 licenses used in program.

The problem is that some files are sourceless, right?

 So let's wait for a next release.

Meanwhile I wanted to see this game in action so I committed initial packaging
to

http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-games/astromenace.git

I'm leaving it there so please feel free to take over the packaging if you
have time.
