reassign 315245 ftp.debian.org retitle 315245 RM: nemesi -- RoQA: orphaned package has never been free of RC bugs thanks This package has obviously never been cared for in Debian, with one upload ever and that upload containing RC-buggy build-dependencies that were reported shortly after the upload. There has been no acknowledgement of this bug after 80 days. Please remove this package from unstable; it can be re-uploaded when someone is prepared to maintain it properly. -- Steve Langasek postmodern programmer signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Bug#284871: Orphaning jumpnbump ?
Hi, Are you guys aware of bug 284871 ? Are you trying to find a new maintainer for jumpnbump ? If so, I'd be happy to take it over (I've retitled the bug to an ITA). If not, feel free to ignore my ITA and close the bug. Francois -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#312740: Request regarding ROTE library
Bruno, I am working on packaging your ROTE library for Debian, as I am also packaging anyterm, which depends on ROTE. I have a couple of requests. First, would it be possible for you to modify the library build process to create a librote.a and librote.la for inclusion in the development version of the library package? Second, would it be possible for you to include the information from roteprivate.h used by anyterm [0] in the rote.h header? I ask this becuase it is not possible for the Debian package build system to make roteprivate.h, which is only in the source of rote, available during the build of anyterm. This leaves only a couple of options, none of which are acceptable. Specifically, the anyterm pacakge would need to include a copy of roteprivate.h (which would couple the two packages too tightly), or Phil would need to include a copy of the rote source in anyterm, which misses the point of a library. I have emailed Phil about this, but this is not a very high priority for him since the current setup works for him and the changes we need to make this happen will cause you difficulties by breaking binary compatibility in your library. If you would be willing to accept patches for inclusion in the next release or if there is anything else we can do, please let me know. -Roberto [0] http://anyterm.org/1.1/install.html -- Roberto C. Bug#315592: RFH aboot (Alpha bootloader): Looking for co-maintainers
Hi Helge, On Thu, Jun 23, 2005 at 09:47:57PM +0200, Helge Kreutzmann wrote: Subject: RFH: aboot Package: wnpp Severity: normal I maintain aboot now for about 2 years, but unfortunately my private alpha run into serious problems late last year, and now I lost access to the university machines, so I currently cannot work on aboot. I am still interested in the alpha-architecture (and aboot), and will see if I can get my machine going again, but this will happen later this year as I just started a new job. I would like someone with an alpha and interest in keeping this architecture going in Debian to help me. There are not many bugs, and I tried to collect as much info as possible. I am still the (upstream) aboot-docu-maintainer, so if someone joins me I can try to coordinate future development (mainly bug fixing, and releasing version 1.0) with the upstream developers. And for someone with interest in file systems, there are wishlist bugs for more supported file systems to boot from :-)) I'm willing to help you out on this. I have 6 alpha machines (4 of which are debian supported now, the other 2 are turbo channel machines for which I did some work to get the linux kernel to work, but they aren't ready yet). I also maintain the quik package (oldworld powermac bootloader) and comaintain sibyl (Broadcom swarm bootloader). I'm familiar with alpha, mips, powerpc and arm architectures. I hope I can help you here. Cheers, Peter (p2). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
