   Thanks for your concern about socat.
   The latest version has been uploaded to unstable this Wednesday.

Thank you for taking care of socat. Co-maintainership was indeed
offered to help Ryan's work, but as it was mainly a mistaken O:, I'll
now keep myself out this.

Feel free to ping me in future if you won't be able to stay up with the
package (I hope not :).

Bug#524713: ITP: libmoosex-types-perl -- organise Moose types in libraries

2009-04-19 Thread Ansgar Burchardt
Package: wnpp

  Version : 0.10
  Upstream Author : Robert phaylon Sedlacek r...@474.at
* URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/MooseX-Types/
* License : GPL-1+ | Artistic (like perl)
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : organise Moose types in libraries

 The types provided with Moose are by design global. The MooseX::Types module
 helps you to organise and selectively import your own and the built-in types
 in libraries. As a nice side effect, it catches typos at compile-time too.
 .
 However, the main reason for this module is to provide an easy way to not
 have conflicts with your type names, since the internal fully qualified names
 of the types will be prefixed with the library's name.
 .
 MooseX::Types will also provide you with some helper functions to make it
 easier to use Moose types in your code.

This module is required by libmoosex-methodattributes-perl (ITP will follow
soon).

Regards,
Ansgar

Bug#524743: O: bogofilter -- a fast Bayesian spam filter (dummy package)

2009-04-19 Thread Clint Adams
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I intend to orphan the bogofilter package.

The package description is:
 This package implements a fast Bayesian spam filter along the lines suggested
 by Paul Graham in his article A Plan For Spam.
 .
 This version substantially improves on Paul's proposal by doing smarter
 lexical analysis. In particular, hostnames and IP addresses are retained
 as recognition features rather than broken up. Various kinds of MTA
 cruft such as dates and message-IDs are discarded so as not to bloat
 the word lists.

 you upgrade kernels.

Description: library for the simulation of a quantum computer
 libquantum is a C library for the simulation of a quantum computer. Based on
 the principles of quantum mechanics, it provides an implementation of a
 quantum register. Basic operations for register manipulation such as the
 Hadamard gate or the Controlled-NOT gate are available through an easy-to-use
 interface. Measurements can be performed on either single qubits or the whole
 quantum register.
 .
 Features:
  * Simulation of arbitrary quantum algorithms is possible
  * High perfomance and low memory consumption
  * Decoherence support for realistic quantum computation
  * Interface for quantum error correction (QEC)
  * Supports the density operator formalism
  * Implementations of Shor's factoring algorithm and Grover's search algorithm
are included
 .
 This package contains the header files and static libraries which are needed
 to develop applications based on libquantum.

* Package name: webgui
  Version: 7.4.29
  Upstream Author: JT Smith j...@plainblack.com
* URL: http://www.webgui.org
* License: GPL

Description:

WebGUI is a content management platform based on Apache, mod_perl and
MySQL, built to allow average business users to build and maintain complex
web sites. It is modular, pluggable, and platform independent. It was
designed to allow the people who create the content, to manage it online,
rather than content management taking up the time of the busy IT Staff.

Why use WebGUI?

 * Short Friendly URLs. You'll never have ugly numeric IDs or other
   things in your URLs that make it hard for search engines and people
   to use your site.
 * Rich User Interface. It has a rich user experience allowing users to
   place their content through a drag-n-drop interface; use helpers to
   pick dates, colors, and more; and a highly customizable rich editor
   to allow users to format content quickly and easily.
 * Personalization. Your users will see their own view of your site
   through dynamically generated navigation and content. In addition,
   you can choose to display content based upon your user's viewing
   habits.
 * Powerful API. It allows your developers to plug-in new functionality
   quickly to get the most from your site. In addition, standardized
   plug-in points allow you to maintain your upgrade path even with your
   customizations.

Sorry about not responding to this earlier. We'd be happy to accept patches for
adding a SONAME to the generated shared object files to our SCons-based build
system.

i had to make sure you noticed :)

Cheers,
Jérémy.

Bug#524787: ITP: unicorn -- Drivers and applications for the Bewan ADSL PCI ST and USB modems

2009-04-19 Thread Nick Leverton

Bug#524787: ITP: unicorn -- Drivers and applications for the Bewan ADSL PCI ST and USB modems

Nick Leverton n...@leverton.org (19/04/2009):

Well, I don't call that “precipitately”:
| Please remove unicorn:
| - mostly unused (2 in popcon for the binary package unicorn)
| - unmaintained (last upload from a year ago)
| - doesn't build with Lenny kernel
| - not in Lenny
| - depends on legacy libs (GTK 1.2), which will be removed soon
| - lacks support for important archs like amd64 (#306322)

RoQA was end of january, fixed 2 months later. I don't call that
“precipitated”. And those reasons look quite good to me…

What the hell? Oh, that's for non-free, apparently, OK…

KiBi.
