Bug#701962: libsodium packaging
Hi Raúl, On Fri, Mar 21, 2014 at 11:32 PM, Raúl Sánchez rasas...@gmail.com wrote: Latest advice from Alessandro was very specific, I updated package on my repository and reply him privately shortly after his email. I'd say package is in good shape and you can take it from either mentors or my repository [0] [0] http://trismegisto.no-ip.org/hg/libsodium-debian Cool! Your debian/copyright looks much better now. I've to check it. It's also my intention to move my repo to debian hosting, but no sooner there's a real need to do so. That would be when the package is accepted into the archive. But as far as I may get commit access to your repository, it's not strictly needed. As I think I mentioned before, I have no plans to push this into the archive until I see a new upstream release. Are you in contact with upstream? Any ETA when s/he will have a new release? I'm curious about what you think the package is missing (beside upstream release). I've some small changes over your packaging[1]. If you really think [1] is really important I may try a refreshed upstream snapshot + mentors upload. It's needed before the package is included in Debian. In general, it would be nice to have the latest git snapshot of upstream source if there's no stable release until then. Bug#595817: update on pam-ssh-agent-auth
as of submitting own patches to pam-ssh-agent-auth (related to the sudo argument issue hinted at by timo lindfors, which is thereby fixed), i cleaned up upstream's debian directory, made a debian branch of it, and published it at `git://prometheus.amsuess.com/pam-ssh-agent-auth`. (relevant branches are jamie (upstream's devel branch), chrysn/patches (required for operation with ssh-agent-filter), master (upstream's release branch) and debian (if you merge chrysn/patches in there, you might need to `git checkout debian -- debian/*` for conflict resolution)). i might take up this rfp (which i assume it is by now), provided that interaction with upstream goes well, and that someone helps me review the security implications of packaging a pam module. if someone else wants to step in, the abovementioned git repo should be a usable starting point. best regards chrysn signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#729203: Intent to package FFmpeg
Hi Andreas Thank you very much. I was thinking, that it might be a good idea to have a second (back) repository, just in case. It would relieve pressure on the primary repository and provide better up-time. While I currently don't have a git server (and I would be willing to set one up). I do have a launchpad account. [ https://launchpad.net/~cyborg-alpha-nh4 ] We could provide source and binary packages from there - just as sunab ppa (Olivier Banus) did for Kdenlive. I believe, I would set up an FFmpeg project (under my ppa), and create a team (providing upload access). At this point, we would not be building source - just providing a place to serve it from. I have successfully build FFmpeg [ /ffmpeg version 2.2.git Copyright (c) 2000-2014 the FFmpeg developers// // built on Mar 13 2014 16:08:45 with gcc 4.8 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.8.1-10ubuntu9) /] on Kubuntu 13.10 . However, there appears to be a bug, that I'm trying to resolve. [ ffmpeg -f alsa -ac 2 -i hw:2,0 -f x11grab -r 30 -s 1920x1080 -i :0.0 -acodec libmp3lame -ab 320k /media/[username]/library-portable/video-studio/transfer-bin/BTSvlog03.avi ] produces the error [ [swscaler @ 0x9e81080] Warning: data is not aligned! This can lead to a speedloss ] Hope I can be of use.
