Bug#779417: ITP: python-pytest-timeout -- pytest plugin to abort hanging tests
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: gustavo panizzo (gfa) g...@zumbi.com.ar * Package name: python-pytest-timeout Version : 0.4.0 Upstream Author : Floris Bruynooghe f...@devork.be * URL : http://bitbucket.org/flub/pytest-timeout/ * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : pytest plugin to abort hanging tests. This is a plugin which will terminate tests after a certain timeout. When doing so it will show a stack dump of all threads running at the time. This is useful when running tests under a continuous integration server or simply if you don’t know why the test suite hangs. Note that while by default on POSIX systems py.test will continue to execute the tests after a test has timed, out this is not always possible. Often the only sure way to interrupt a hanging test is by terminating the entire process. As this is a hard termination (os._exit()) it will result in no teardown, JUnit XML output etc. But the plugin will ensure you will have the debugging output on stderr nevertheless, which is the most important part at this stage. See below for detailed information on the timeout methods and their side-effects. The pytest-timeout plugin has been tested on python 2.6 or higher, including 3.X and pypy. this package is a build-dependency of python-watchdog 0.8, i will need an sponsor (but i think i have one ;). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. These changes and modifications can be made specific to particular SQL statement patterns. This ability to modify DBI function behavior and DBI-returned data makes it easier to test code that has different branches for different DBI behaviors -- you can test that a failure within DBI or returned DB data that is different than normal is processed correctly by your module or program. Bug#779454: ITP: node-tmp -- Temporary file and directory creator for Node.js
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Bas Couwenberg sebas...@debian.org * Package name: node-tmp Version : 0.0.24 Upstream Author : KARASZI István git...@spam.raszi.hu (http://raszi.hu/) * URL : http://github.com/raszi/node-tmp * License : Expat Programming Lang: JavaScript Description : Temporary file and directory creator for Node.js The main difference between node-temp and node-tmp is that node-tmp more aggressively checks for the existence of the newly created temporary file and creates the new file with O_EXCL instead of simple O_CREAT | O_RDRW, so it is safer. The API is slightly different as well, Tmp does not yet provide synchronous calls and all the parameters are optional. Tmp uses crypto for determining random file names, or, when using templates, a six letter random identifier. And just in case that you do not have that much entropy left on your system, Tmp will fall back to pseudo random numbers. You can set whether you want to remove the temporary file on process exit or not, and the destination directory can also be set. node-tmp is required for node-get-down (#779302) which in turn is required for closure-util (#774562). The node-tmp package will be maintained in the JavaScript team. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#775016: ITP: hovercraft -- impress.js presentations by reStructuredText
The package has been Gitized [1] on Collab-Maint since there is no git.debian.org/git/python-apps so far (could be transfered easily, then) There has been some improvements in the meanwhile, mainly on deb/copyright, please see the commits. There are two open issues think could be an issue for the RFS, 1) the Python modules aren't private yet, but that would need some hacking on (what builds) /usr/bin/hovercraft 2) there is the Python logo included in the tests (2 times), problematic for DFSG. The test are disabled as long as prerequisites aren't available (builds all right, though), so that excluding them won't be no problem, but get the tests to run w/o them also need some (extensive) hacking Cheers, DS [1] http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/hovercraft.git [2] https://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2015/02/msg00202.html -- http://www.danielstender.com/blog GnuPG key: 4096R/DF5182C8 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#777123: News from zpaq
Hi. The version of zpaq included with debian, 1.10, is completely obsolete as the current version is 7.02. Moreover, it is buggy as the configs files don't work out of the box nor the optimization for speed. So my first goal is to create a completely new package. The build-dep for zpaq are simple: g++, perl, and make. There is no run-time dependency. Separating this package into zpaq, libzpaq, and libzpaq-dev would be a nice addition. Stay tuned.
