problem I see is that the XCF file is 1529x1890 while the EPS file is 153x202. Being a vector-oriented format, the EPS resolution is infinite. :) Load the EPS into Gimp, but change the Resolution field in the Load Postscript window. BTW, I recommend creating the image at twice or four times its
