Here is what I came up with:
Bizarrely, there is no dependency
mentioned, and yet this was the entire problem: upgrading this package
from 0.7.6-1 to 0.8.2-1 solved the problem for me.
I didn't even have this package installed ! So I grabbed it and
install it.

The hyphen is already part of the 'lyx' variant. I don't think any separate
character should have its own group.
There are symbols missing, indeed. But I'm not sure that this is the
right place to add them.

for Hebrew in computerized systems. Very recently, someone asked to
reopen the Hebrew keyboard standard to address precisely these types of
deficiencies. The standard is up for rediscussion sometime this year.
