Back in 2008, you submitted debian bug #469104.
After looking at the log, it seams to me that the TDFX driver chooses
it's resolution before reading the EDID information from the monitor.
So it uses some default values for the hsync vrefresh range.
You can try setting the
Processing commands for [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
reassign 469104 xserver-xorg
Bug#469104: installation-reports: Normal C/R netinstall successful except
screen resolution too low
Bug reassigned from package `installation-reports' to `xserver-xorg'.

Since the new system, Michael, does not have an email system in place
the following was done: Open root terminal. cd to
/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg. Execute command ./script
