After doing a full-upgrade on my sid this morning, I am encountering
the very same problem. I am not using radeon but nvidia module,
but it looks like the same : everytime I launch a KDE app (or QT ?),
X crash and restart. No problem so far with non KDE apps.
Don't know if this problem
A fresh Squeeze installation seems to have resolved the issue. I think
the bug can be closed.

I've just uploaded xorg-server 1.10rc3 to experimental, which bumps
the video abi to 10. If you want to build against it, make sure to
bump the version in Build-Depends to = 2:1.9.99.903. Your driver
should then depend on xorg-video-abi-10 accordingly.
