Information when upgrading the decludeproc only. (Note xxx is the version of
declude.)
1. download the new decludeprocxxx.exe to your \mailserver\ directory
2. Stop the decludeproc service
3. rename your current decludeproc.exe to decludeprocxxx.exe
4. rename the new decludeprocxxx.exe to

Decludeproc is not running, it sends a start command. At least this was the

This is not the case. The only time the start command is used is with the
installer.
It is not necessary to stop the SMTP service. All declude.exe will do when
receiving a message is move it to the \proc directory, therefore upgrading
decludeproc should not effect the operation of Imail
In the process of preparing to switch from IMail to SmarterMail we had a server with an out of the box SmarterMail install on it for a few days and got blacklisted by Comcast for being an open relay. Everything has been corrected now and we have sent multiple emails to Comcast advising them of the

clients who got on AOL's bad side until we squared the issue up with AOL.
Not that your on imail, but it has a nice feature to
Then what was causing the Decludeproc service to start in early versions of
3.0.x during testing of the problems with certain spam messages that were
causing crashes? This was before the /review directory was added. I will
have to go back to my notes late tonight to see what version this was.

Heimir,
Yes, that is a known issue of that version. Also, in case you have not
noticed MAILFROM is also broken in that version. You need to upgrade to a
later version. 3.0.5.9 is the release where it is fixed.
Darrell
Our service agreement expired but I still have broken product.
