[Declude.JunkMail] ROUTETO syntax

2003-12-15 Thread Scott Huber

I just installed the Pro version after using the trial and
am trying to configure the ROUTETO action. My Actions in the $default$.junkmail
file are as follows:

WEIGHT10 WARN

WEIGHT20 HOLD

WEIGHT30 HOLD

WEIGHT40 ROUTETO [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Reveal Codes would display it like this:
WEIGHT40tabROUTETOtab[EMAIL PROTECTED]

However, the messages with weights greater than 40 are still
put into the \spool\spam\hold directory rather than going to the spambox
account. I use Spam Review to monitor messages in the \hold directory.
While messages are indicated as being destined for the spambox account if they
fail the WEIGHT40 test, they never get routed there.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Aha! That makes perfect sense.
Thanks!

I just installed the Pro version after using the trial and am trying to
configure the ROUTETO action. My Actions in the $default$.junkmail file
are as follows:

WEIGHT10 WARN
WEIGHT20 HOLD
WEIGHT30 HOLD
WEIGHT40 ROUTETO [EMAIL PROTECTED]

However, the messages with weights greater than 40 are still put into the
\spool\spam\hold directory rather than going to the spambox account.

That's because you have 3 actions for those E-mails -- WARN, HOLD, and
ROUTETO. HOLD and ROUTETO can't logically be combined, so Declude JunkMail
assumes you want the stricter action (HOLD).

To get around this, you can define the tests (in the global.cfg file) as:

WEIGHT10weightrange x x 10 19
WEIGHT20weightrange x x 20 29
WEIGHT30weightrange x x 30 39
WEIGHT40weight x x 40 0

That way, only one of them will fail. So if the weight is 40 or higher,
only the WEIGHT40 test will fail, and the ROUTETO action will be used.
