The point of the e-mail you just responded to was you *do not* need
more than one licensed copy of SQL Server to use database mirroring.
The passive server does not
SQL Database Mirroring is available in their Standard Edition, and I believe
that in a Active / Passive architecture, only one license is required.
We use it, but our needs are slight.

clustering suggestion and have had outages and/or data
