Does DELIVERERRORS apply to incoming mail, outgoing mail or both
incoming and outgoing?
Does this variable have any impact upon a scanner time-out?

Does DELIVERERRORS apply to incoming mail, outgoing mail or both
incoming and outgoing?
It applies to any E-mail that is scanned. If the virus scanner reports an
error, if the DELIVERERRORS setting is ON, then the E-mail will be
delivered. Otherwise, it will be quarantined.
