Don,
CrLf indicates only that they are not balanced. LfCr and CrLf indicates
which is missing, so one can choose their own poison and apply different
weights. If you were to test a sample batch of messages, you would find that
one is more prevalent than the other, by a large factor.

If the root of the problem is that they are unbalanced, then why
should I care if there are more Lf than Cr or more Cr than Lf? What
am I missing?
