Declude only uses the command line "on demand" scanner. Version 4.x with the latest DAT files will continue to work. I suspect, that are upgrading your desktop scanners to 6.0? We own a copy of Declude Virus. The version of the virus software is MacAfee 4.0 using the scan.exe file with Declude. We now need to upgrade to 6.0. Will Declude work with this? How do I unconfigure 4.0 and configure 6.0 to work. Normally the Net admin would do this but he is on vacation so I get the job. As far as I know, there should be no problems using Declude Virus with McAfee 6.0. Just upgrading McAfee should be all you need to do. Afterwards, though, you should test your setup just to be sure (by using the Test Mail Sender at http://www.declude.com/tools ). Paul, for a whopping $40 you could get the commercial version of F-Prot that also gives you a licence for 19 other PCs. www.frisk.is Personally, I've found McAfee and Symantec use way to much PC resources. I was testing the latest McAfee NetShield command line scanner the last 3 weeks and it was working fine. Stopped using it because of licensing problems. (McAfee wants too much money.) F-prot uses about 25% of the resources as Norton. The price can't be beaten. The command line arguments are in the list in the install htm file.
