Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using TADOQuery, and have nothing to do with TClientDataSet, so what John suggested doesn't apply to me at all. I do expect that it's Windows Update related, but I can't pinpoint which one. I have confirmed that the same application works on my another Win2003
