What have been your experiences. From memory you have to supply a DLL
or maybe 2 with your app. install?
Yes, we use RAVE, or more correctly RPPro in the Accredo Business
Software suite (nee Profax Accounting), and we have
As a low time - low skill level user I find it great (D2006). Additional dll
files are optional. If I get unexpected results I know to look at my data

Ok, well thats a good bit of feedback :-)
I seemed to remember that it output to PDF, but does it also export to Excel

Most of our data is pretty basic. the most complex it gets is that it
requires grouping.
I guess I need to workout our most complex report, and see how I go

Ummm, moderately badly as I have tested. The Excel export engine portion
makes a bunch of guesses at cell positioning and stuff the generated
report data into Excel with a certain
Thanks Max.
Guess I have a few days of investigation ahead of me.
I am now not just thinking of Rave, but also ReportBuilder (upgrading to the
latest) and FastReports.
I have heard FastReports is meant to be res. good.

HI All.
We are looking at moving forward to Delphi 2009 and to do so we need to
update out ReportBuilder which means $$.
I have not realy looked at Rave Reports because ReportBuilder is pretty
good, but wonder if its time to look at it and save some $.
Does anyone use Rave Reports in their apps.
I have used both Report Builder (for a large app in Delphi 5) and Rave for
D2006/2007. Both very good.
Haven't used the Rave report designer - its easy enough to write Rave pure code
based reports that do all I need. Doesn''t need anything outside the exe file
- links in about another 600K.
HI all. Having a little downtime, which is VERY rare, I thought I would
take a look at Rave Reports.
I remembered there was a message someone else was doing something with
them, and had a problem, and Richard said to download the latest update.
I did this, but NOW, I get errors when it loads
