We used to buy high-end to get speed. Then speeds plateaued, so we
bought mid-end, for price.
Now, we can barely be bothered buying at all. The current generations
of hardware just are't compelling.
We traditionally purchased from Total Peripherals Group (TPG), The last
few we've got have been Dells (2 laptops and a desktop), but I may go
with ascent.co.nz or pp.co.nz in the future as you can customize until
ones heart is content and their prices are not that much above wholesale.

they've been called since they were about a 5 person company in Wairau Rd 20
years ago.
However, in recent years when I can be bothered I shop around using pricespy
or more

Hi Richard,
Nowadays everything is from the same manufacturer with normal one year
warranty. I found no difference on quality. I just check www.pricespy.co.nz
and find cheapest price include shipping cost.

Hi guys,
When you buy computer hardware, where do you buy it from? Myself, I
tend to buy from PBTech here in Auckland, when I was working in
Wellington for a while I purchased from Ascent. Do Hamilton people buy
from Hamilton vendors? Do Christchurch guys buy from
