No, what it will be is that you have a local copy of the commands. What
you can do is open the View->Command Center and click on Load a Standard
Command Set
then choose Default.commands from the list
then when it asks Load Shortcuts Only? say no - you need the standard
commands.

I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong here...but I'm using Denemo
2.0.12 and I don't have Directives->Inserting Barlines or Directives-
>Typesetter->Print Layout->Allow page/Line Break

Under the Directives Tab, I have:

Typesetter->
Markings->
Playback->
Make Directive Conditional->
Enable Accordian 16'
Insert Lilypond
Insert Comment
Check Paired Directives
Menu of Objects to Insert

Under Directives->Typesetter->Print Layout I have 29 submenus, but no
Allow page/Line Break

perhaps my build is corrupted?

I think you could work around that by placing an Measures->"Ignore
Measure Duration Error" in each candenza "measure" (ie Denemo chunk)
that you have used for your cadenza. At any rate I've updated the bug
report about this.

Well, I think I see what is causing confusion, and it's nothing to do
with cadenza time. When you hide the initial time-signature Denemo fails
to understand that the "Score Layout" - that is, everything that is not
actually on the stave - has changed and so keeps typesetting with the
old staff information. You can force Denemo to recompute and get the
right display by changing the initial clef to Bass Clef and then back
again.

Using View->Command Center
I started typing Hide time signature and only got as far as "hide tim"
when it found this:

Command: (Print) Hide
On printing, omit the time signature change at the cursor, or the
initial time signature if the cursor is not on a time signature change.
Location: ObjectMenu->TimeSig
Internal Name: HideTimesig

So I put the cursor at the start of the piece and executed Time
Signature->(Print) Hide and it hid the initial time signature.

The tooltip is rather terse, it does not say that the End Candenza Time
mark is entered at the cursor position. I've submitted a bug report
about that - thank you!

you can edit in any of the three views of the Denemo Display, though the
page view is usually zoomed rather small.

Re: [Denemo-devel] cadenza questions

2016-09-22 Thread Donald J. Stewart
an addendum:

I solved the scrolling issue by adding bar lines, which are invisible while
in cadenza mode (yay!)

The problem, though, is that the cadenza does not automatically
generate a page break.

1. How do I force a page break in cadenza time?

Another problem is that the original time signature still shows up in the
beginning of the score. I can edit this in Frescobaldi by taking out the 4/4
line in the score, but I'm not sure if this is correct technique, plus it
doesn't generate a score when I try to import my new file back to
denemo.

A further problem is that this time signature (which has nothing to do
with the amount of notes in the score) doesn't allow 'check score' to
function correctly.

2. How do I get rid of the time signature at the beginning of the cadenza?
