I was not aware that the Status Bar communicated save-status.
I suspect the majority of LO users are also not aware of this. It is easy to
see why users have adopted a mis-use of the Save Icon, assuming it is a

Since I noticed, the beta is supposed to be tagged today or tomorrow
already and we in the Design team had talked about our new About thing
a little...
and I also don't seem to have anything to do... I made this patch for About.
It does the following:
* it removes the bevel from the SVG
Okay, scratch that. I just found time to work on this... so, I've sent
a patch to the ux-advise list (accidentally not to the dev list). It
does most of what I hoped for, except that it doesn't make the buttons
links.

motifs, you did it before. Really, I like it. If you can just make the
trademarks a little bit darker (for people who do not have perfect eyes)

ah, you don't understand: it's not a mock-up, it's implemented. (The
patch however was scrapped on the design list, but you can see it
under [1].)
About the close button: Under Gnome 3, modal windows don't get a close
button in the titlebar (usually they don't get a titlebar either).
