Via the standard web-page buttons, Facebook is tracking and 
tracing everyone, whether they use the social networking 
site or not. Any decent content provider should circumvent 
FB's javascript code - if they want to advertise FB.


Facebook being a data-mining  commercial operation, some 
people care about what information FB gathers on it's users:

Is Twitter any better than FB ?
There's also some doubts about the funding/ownership of
