PCMCIA/Compact Flash does not recognize/automount CF flash card
Rebooted now can mount CF card (doesn't automount however).
On other other hand, noticed this in /var/log/messages:

Sorry that it did take so long to respond. I found more problems in my ubuntu
install and decided to do a complete reinstall. Restarting hplip and cupsys did
not help. The hp-info did not function properly on my install.
After a complete reinstall everything just works fine. It seems that it was
Closing this bug since the reported indicated that he was working with a
broken system and a reinstall solved it.

which means it isn't supported on Linux.

I noticed a strange behaviour when plugging in a USB device in Dapper. As soon
as I plug in any device, system freezes completely beyond any recovery.
Disabling hal everything works fine.
It should not a kernel-related bug because I was running the same kernel in
Breezy
I encountered the problem when building the package for ubuntu breezy.
When python-gst0.10 was not installed (I had to build it myself later)
the build would fail when generating documentation. I was using the
dappper source packages.
I see that ubuntu-desktop in dapper depends on python-gst0.10,
