i noticed the same behaviour. i had a open nautilus window. and worked
in a terminal shell on a remote system. suddendly nautilus jumped back
to my home directory.

Xv crash with infinite GDM respan is still happening to me on nx6110,
but it is not deterministic - the crash happens sometimes, but not
always. However, when the crash happens it always happlens on start of
new video playback and after the laptop has been suspended.

When browsing is enabled in cups, then the local cupsd reexports the
printers found on the network. But not all requests to a printer are
proxied by the local cupsd - the download of ppd files is an exception.
libgnomecups, however, tries to download the ppd file from
Arg. After posting this I found the other bugreport for this problem.
But since my report included a way to fix it, I marked the other one as
a duplicate of mine, altough he was first.

what version is unstable? the dapper one? if that's the case you should
open bug and not push a new unstable version to user based on your
experience because totem is not that unstable for other people

Thanks for your bug. You can double click on a song to switch. I agree
than the play,pause way to function might be confusing but switching
song would not be better. You could be browsing your library, rating
songs, looking for properties and wanting to pause the currently playing

I'm just saying, at this point, totem with the xine backend does not even
open on my system without these workarounds, so something has to be done
about it. I will not push a buggy version of totem into backports either,
but totem is such an important program for the GNOME desktop and honestly a
gnome-python requires to have the new libbonobo2-0 installed
