Public bug reported:
On my updated Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy beta machine, the new guidance-power-

probably means hal cannot recognize the closed/open laptop lid
correctly. It causes serious problems when the guidance-power-manager is

Public bug reported:
Totem hangs when trying to play avi file with an external subtitle file
(example.avi and example.{txt|sub} in the same directory).
The last line of strace shows:
futex(0x846847c, FUTEX_WAIT, 1, NULL
I think it can be somehow connected with bug #30517.
Steps to reproduce:
What sort of device do you open? Is that a slow one?
It's a regular fat32 partition, and indeed if I follow the steps I did
just now, and open an ext3 partition, nautilus doesn't crash. I tried
all possible combinations for the device icons on my desktop, and it
always crashes on the first fat32

[2.0beta3] Cannot send a picture by drag-n-dropping

MSN
I have tested this, and it is true that you cannot insert pictures (or
other files) over certain protocols, such as Jabber or MSN. However, you
can insert pictures (and only pictures) directly into the conversation
in other protocols such as AIM. I think that for protocols that support
inserting,
When you drag an image to the conversation window, the place where the
buddy icon goes should expand so you have the option to drag it to
there.

I'm actually a bit shocked that you, Mark Stuttleworth actually replied
to my bug. I probably would have tried to formulate it better ;-)
The reason I filled this bug is that i'm one of those that promote
Ubuntu from the market-place out. I have currently made three small

This doesn't feel like a bug to me. You clicked to get details on two
different connection failures. One could argue that if the error is the
same, it shouldn't open two windows, but if the error is different, it's
more tricky... If one error was Connection refused and the other Bad
password,
