I have the same problem, using Rhythmbox 0.9.5 on Dapper. My music is on
a FAT32 partition. Files that I have deleted are noticed as missing, but
no new files are added.

I tried making a backtrace on nautilus but i think it failed. I had to
edit in gconf so nautilus had show desktop on false to be able to get
something. If i just traced nautilus i got something like 'Program
exited normally'.

doesn't crash. It only seems busy seeking and at the end he only shows
an image of that moment without playing further. The only way to get
things working again is to go to the beginning.
