I think when you launch an application with gksu, it be save the actual
user session environment .
for example, when you execute su user you change the user but all
session environment don't change and when you execute su - user then
the session environment change to the user logged.

evolution-alarm-notify gets automatically started in KDE sessions.
This is usually unwished for because KDE comes with it's own alarm
notification system.
Proposed fix:
Add a
OnlyShowIn=GNOME;
line in
What I was doing was I selected all artists, all albums and had
shuffle on. I haven't seen it do it if I select an album and play it
straight through.

Laurent,I tried with edgy version and yes the same issue.
Also scrolling in the terminal of Synaptic react very slow !
