Same thing here: every time I start Ubuntu, I have a crash report.
So it must be a crash on shutdown, because Gaim is working correctly after
startup.

What would be useful is a valgrind log
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind) of gnome-panel when it's crashing.
The problem is that the bug is not easy to trigger so you would have to
run gnome-panel under valgrind for some time and that slows down things
crashes in gtk.

Crash report dialog pops up, but serpentine just works and finishes the
writing. Produced disks are ok.
The only thing I can add is that it happened twice in a row. Both times
just before serpentine reported Preparing recording (under the

It doesn't look like anyone else has picked up on this bug. I'll set it
to the control centre, from that backtrace it looks like that is a big
part of the problem.
