Changing /dev/hda (the dvd drive's device entry) to /dev/dvd in
/etc/fstab as per Robert's comment fixed it also for me.
My fstab was like this after the upgrade and my cdrom/dvd-rw drive
didn't work properly and couldn't read audio cds:

This workaround also worked for me. Feisty value was us-101, was blank
on edgy. Created new bogus value (easy since kbd is munged) of c.b and
removed us-101 entry. exited the editor. btw, to bring up the gconf-
editor, navigate thru the places menu to /usr/bin/gconf-editor and

seems that terminal response time has improved significantly.
Anyone experiencing problems with feisty's vte should probably try this out
too. Maybe we could get this to feisty-backports (or as SRU).

Alex, I've tried to downgrade gnome-terminal to 2.16.1-0ubuntu1 in
Feisty and nothing has changed. It means that the problem is indeed not
(entirely) in gnome-terminal itself but maybe somewhere else in GNOME --
the thing is that gnome-terminal is where it can be clearly observed.

The problem renders the system unusable for unexperienced users (mouse does not
work, you have to kill the app using ALT-F4).

In the final Feisty release, the modem in Admin - Networking now works enough
to let you configure the modem and dial out and connect. However the modem
