The umount problem is very easy to reproduce with a usb-harddisc. My usb
(flash) sticks allmost work every time.
(only once my stick could get umounted the right-click-way).
But discs are not umountable evrey time (here).

Same problem here. I'm using nvidia-glx driver on Feisty. The steps that
produce the issue for me are:
1.- Log in as user A
2.- Press 'Switch User'
3.- Log in as user B. At this point, both sessions, A and B are active
4.- Close session B
Then the screen goes blank. I can't close a session if
I ran into the same issue as the original submitter. Unfortunately, the
only thing that was written to my .xsession-errors while I tried to
create the account was :

'org_gnome_new_mail_config' in plugin
