[gutsy regression] rhythmbox is having trouble with many podcast feeds
Not sure if this is definitely the solution, but MP3 playback seems to
be working once again after I got the updated gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
(0.10.6-0ubuntu2).
The esd error still shows in my terminal upon launch, but honestly, I
don't know if that had anything to do with this problem.

My bad. It seems it does not really freeze; if you wait about forty
seconds, it actually manages to display the content the first time
without need to force quit and restart. Here is the log anyway. I'm not
sure it's good because it's the first time I do this.

here, i'm able to debug gimp with gdb and obtain all the needed info to
get a good trace.
