I can confirm this. When Ubufox installs the flashplugin-nonfree, it
downloads a new package from the Adobe ftp, that seems to restore the
previous state of the plugin in Opera. (The previous state being that
the flash plugin crashes when closing or changing tabs, however it works
without freezing

If you mean before hald is killed (when I can't see the CD icon on the
desktop), the answer is no. It's like if there was no CD at all in the tray.
After I kill / restart hald, when I insert the CD, Nautilus open its window so
I guess I can list its content from the commad line (although I
cat /proc/cpuinfo would also be helpful. If you can't attach files
then just post them in your comment, or maybe on a pastebin.

I have a very similar problem to dafrabbit on 2007-08-25. I'm using
Ubuntu 7.10 Alternative Tribe 5.
1. GDM ready sound is not playing. As he suggested,
System-Administration-Login Window-Accessibility and choosing a
sound (question.wav) results in it working.

I use totem-gstreamer version 2.19.90-0ubuntu3.
When you click the volume button in window mode, a slider appears, with

dialogue does NOT cause the applet to show muted states.

I found out that this error occurs only when the view is set to 'group as
threads' (Ctr-T).
I'm using the same server (pop.gmx.net).
There is no difference in using the menu or the keyboard shortcut.
The error can easily be reproduced with an uread mail folder as described above.

There is an inconsistency in handling settings for preferred terminal if
one enables/disables 3D desktop (at least via System-Preferences-
Appearance).
