anything in evince or kghostview with graphics results in an Error
Operand stack message being printed. Just tried Kpdf on a Gnome install
and it took a while but worked with the BR3 script driver and the
foomatic postscript ppd.
I have a 1280x800 LCD display, and trying to resize windows by dragging corners
or edges has always been frustrating to me -- just as described by others
above, it usually takes several tries before the edge/corner is correctly
grabbed.

It is the default layout for newly appearing windows. If you have global layout
(like I see you do), you start your session with the language first in the list
(USA in your case), that's it.

This happens to me too.
At the beginning I thought it was with es_ES only but then I installed en_UK
and it_IT and still the problem persists.
However, after clicking on the error alert, the language seems to load
correctly.

Still happening!
The problem seems to be the way nautilus assigns the icons, looking into
the mime type. For example, deb file:
gnome-mime-application-x-deb.svg doesn't work anymore and displays that
generic icon. There is a fix making a symlink from there to
application-x-deb.svg, then it works
I discovered that kate doesn't seem to have any problem saving files.
Perhaps that is something to dive into...

I have the same issue. I use Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 and Simple
Backup/Restore. After a restore, I ended up with about a dozen folders -
mostly inboxes, labeled as bove - Inbox before restore, after Restore,
etc. I emptied and even renamed the folders (xx0-xx11) but I can't

Unfortunately the gdb log doesn't show much information due the fact that the
packages containing the debugging symbols aren't installed, if you could
install those packages and obtain a new backtrace,it would be of great help,
this if you don't already have a related .crash file at
Martin
Could you please check if the problem remains when you import the files
directly from /mnt instead of using a symlink?, i also use a NFS share to store
my music files and don't have any issue, the write permission should only be
needed when edit song tags or similar operations.

I tried with Hardy Alpha 4 and it is even worse.
Now double clicking on floppy icon in Places-Computer does nothing.
I mean no activity in floppy drive, absolutely nothing, and there is'nt
mount option in right click menu.

Could you please explain why this is not Nautilus bug?
The theme handling changes affect only the default iccons assigns. But does not
explain why the desktop launchers icons are broken.

Here's the solution to fix the problem with 'aisleriot':
* open gconf (Configuration editor) and go to the
'/apps/aisleriot/cardstyle' key/resource
* my aisleriot uses 'bonded' theme so you can type this name firstly and
re-run application
* if there is still a problem try this:

While both gworldclock and tzwatch display the proper time information
for Pacific/Auckland, the clock applet in gnome-panel 1:2.21.91-0ubuntu1
displays the wrong offset.
At the moment, Pacific/Auckland is at NZDT, which is UTC+13,
