Binary package hint: banshee
When trying to play some files banshee complains:
(Banshee:14908): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_event_new_new_segment_full:
assertion `start != -1' failed
GStreamer stream error: Decode
These files worked fine till I changed

In hardy, the login screen is always QWERTY. As soon as I log in, it
switches to AZERTY (France) but I have to remember my password on a
foreign keyboard and that's not fun. I see nowhere to configure this.

It's only happening on some tracks from an album - but I tried to play it using
gstreamer directly so it's not a banshee problem.
The things I do are:
gst-launch filesrc location=18. Stop the Dubbing.ogg ! decodebin ! alsasink
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...

If you enter a wrong password (say, because of Bug #202504), the
incorrect password message shows up behind the input widget making it
hard to read and tacky looking.

no video output module play nice with Compiz
Please do try and tell me when it is ready, as I still don't know if
this patch indeed fixes the problem or not. Then I'd be glad to test
anything you throw at me in a ppa :)
I tried compiling epiphany myself to no avail, so I am stuck.
