I disagree. Bug #105545 seems to be a collection of bugs saying that
the modem doesn't work. The modem does actually work for me, and the
CD flash being not hidden is a new thing in hardy. The bug is on

The change is not telling users what to do, it's changing the default
theme as a workaround. The tango theme is slower because it hits slow
code in the xorg stack on some cards but is likely working correctly for

If i install gpg-agent and activate it in ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf so that both
gpg-agent and seahorse-agent is running the problem is solved.
So maybe it would be good to install gpg-agent by default if gpg is installed
to make sure people can access their smartcard and use seahorse.

For very large messages, my preview pane flickers rigorously while
formatting message, and the message formatting takes a long time. An
example message that causes this is 10,000 lines long, and 600K. It

I am using up-to-date Hardy and gnome-system-monitor crashed after
trying to switch in the processes tab from show my processes to show
all processes. The app crashed immediately.
now I can not start it anymore it gives me following on the cli:

Is the xscreensaver daemon running (check with ps ax|grep saver)? It
should have been started by the xfce session (not exactly sure how). Can
you please try to create a new user and see if the daemon is started
when logging in?

I'm on a Compaq Presario V2610CA laptop with Ubuntu Hardy (Beta) and I'm
experiencing the same problem, i.e. idle time is not respected for
suspend/hibernate. The problem was also ocuring with Gutsy. I've looked
in /apps/gnome-power-manager/actions/ and everything was right, i.e. set
to suspend,
Yep, Sorry, I hadn't read all the comments. It was one of my icon
themes. I switched now to pure tango-icons and everything is working
fine, no crashes.
But it shows following on start: (the second warning)

the report in order to do tests with them? I've a few large messages and
i haven't seen this behavior, thanks.
