If you disable e-a-n the 100% cpu usage on startup described in this bug
goes away for me! So CERTAINLY e-a-n does have something to do with this
bug. Seems like you guys are looking at the wrong place.
And since disabling e-a-n does also solve the problem with the leftover
e-d-s and gconf

Yes, as I mentioned it is only the GNOME keyboard shortcuts that are
stuck on Dvorak. Others apps correctly switch layouts.
I don't believe this is the same as bug 23244 because even in QWERTY
mode it is still only the Dvorak key combination that is recognized;
pressing the QWERTY key combination

Start the (UMTS) modem, start Firefox, select File - Work Offline.
Work Offline should now be unchecked and Firefox should now work

Confirming this bug:
Created a file on the server as user1, then opened the file via nautilus/ssh
and gedit as user2. After saving the file, the file belonged to user2. In this
scenario, the group was not changed - but when I used root as user2 (like the
OP) both user and group were changed to

It looks like one solution to this is to install the esound package
from Synaptic, which apparently is not installed by default.
Then my question is, if the installation of this esound is necessary to
make the logout sound play, then why is it not installed by default
during O/S installation ?

permissions error messages when trying to save the file as user2 if the
_directory_ containing the file is not writeable for user2. It seems that gedit

the bug is likely to be different. It may not be a DPMS issue but rather
that the active power manager (for KDE or GNOME) is not told by Kaffeine
to inhibit the screensaver. Could you check your delays about that and

Change ownership of backup file generated by SimpleBackup on network
drive, and move to another location.

process running and I have g-p-m set to turn off the monitor when I
close my laptop lid, when I close the lid and open it again I get the
same issue you have. My bug only occurs when fglrx is installed.
