I have my library on a CIFS share, and when I want something deleted, I
would like it deleted, but Move to Trash fails (for reasons above)
silently. Surely this should be detected and presented to the user, so
that he can take the choice either to leave the file as-is, or delete it

I'm having the same issue. I can reproduce the behavior every time
though. I have a panel with a firefox launcher. I'm also using compiz
(so the when I click on a launcher the icon does the zoom and fade out
thing) It's easier to reproduce the bug when compiz is enabled.

John, it seems I was wrong and this is indeed a GTK issue.
I've unpacked chrome files shipped with firefox-3.0 Ubuntu package and
tried to locate CSS border settings for main-window or browser or
document, nothing significant was there.
Then I've noticed that the Firefox scrollbars correspond to

Any chance of getting that bug fix imported? Unless some-one knows a
work-around this is a pain in the but for my photo-server, as f-spot
will create new files on it with the wrong permissions. It's also
confusing my mom, who is

Adding the line to .bashrc made no difference. The Gnome 'Places
Computer' link still doesn't work, nor does automounting, and all the
fixed drives are still listed under 'Removable Drives'.

Removing openoffice.org-gtk worked for me. However, it worked with
openoffice.org-gtk installed when I launched it with sudo/gksu. It even worked
when I made a new user, although it was
