Yeah, when I click hibernate, I went to sleep. Then I came back , and press
the power button,then the Disk check for errors( that's why I'm sure that
I'm not mis-click the shutdown button) , and besides the password, I need to

Just did a network upgrade to the official release of 8.10, and had this
problem. Any of the directories from 'Places' opened with Totem. From
the desktop nautilus launched as normal. I was then able to change 'Open
With...' and luckily changing just one folder fixed them all.

- have a new key (need_fixup or somthing) defaulting to false
- a postinst snippet setting it to true for upgrades
- gnome-panel code which reads this key and call the code when the key is true
- the code change the default association to nautilus if that's not

I just update to 8.10 and I got the Error: Failed to mount Windows
share again. Used to have this problem after Upgraded to Hardy. Then it
was fixed. Now it is back again.
smbmount still work fine.

When opening the attached pdf-file in intrepid evince opens it for a second
and segfaults right after. As I can see it in this short time, the pdf seems
correctly rendered.
evince is in version 2.24.1-0ubuntu1.

This may sound like a really silly question, but did you run sudo dpkg
--configure -a? (It won't work without sudo). Could you please do this
and post any messages which appear in the terminal.

When I am connecting to our IRC-server xchat only connects to first
protected channel in the list. I see messages like this:

The issue is that, with gnome-panel when the main menu applet is used,
there is a small arrow that shows on the panel, creating a visual
blemish with whatever themed menu icon people use.

I have realized of this issue after passing the patch gst-plugins-bad0.10 (bug
#208068) but I'm not sure if it was present before.
I play a video and set the totem volume control to maximum then I click again
to the volume control to reset it to another value but the volume
I tried adding:
Option AutoRepeat 175 30
in Input device section in xorg.conf and then logout/login. Didn't work.
Then I discovered Ubuntu uses /etc/default/console-setup to store this
settings, and added:
AUTOREPEAT=175 30
Didn't work either.
