I'm not sure whether this log captured the same problem. When I dragged
a file from the filesystem window into the audio project window, the
window went dark and appeared to hang for a long time. I eventually
just force-quit the program. The file I was dragging into the project
was ~6.7MB MP3.

I think if this was considered important, it would still make it on
time, as the official release date is the 23rd, and there's still plenty
of time even until midnight between the 21st and the 22nd.
The question appears to be:
Does this qualify for freeze exception process, considering also that
None issue in guest session.
I made this steps (I hope useful to identify the origin of the issue):
1. in this moment the issue is not present on my usual user, as explained in
the first post [1]
2. logged out and re-logged in: the issue comes back again
3. from my users, entered in guest

1 - Yes It's reproducible.
I tried with different instances of Ubuntu 8.10 (32 and amd 64) and the
bug It's always present.
I thought the trick could be on the server dovecot and so I tried with
gmail but It's just the same.
2- How to
file-roller:
Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
Still there.
