This is most likely a duplicate of #257639 - packagekit is trying to
open the cache at the same time as synaptic/update-manager and that
causes the error. Its a race condition

I can confirm this bug on 8.10 with Nvidia 5500 Graphics card and 1.73 version
of their driver on a dual X server setup.
It only happens when Visual appaearance is on normal.

My nautilus crash report is waiting for me after login to Gnome.
Nautilus functions 100% normal for resources and functionality during
the session. If I log out of the session and then back in, I get the

log. That machine is interesting as calls to getLocalHost() don't
always work, which is very good for finding assumptions in code,
including anything that relies on an ORB to work reliably
About the driver, I don't know. I didn't find this info in xorg.conf (no
driver line anymore). Is there any other way to find out?

I upgraded Ubuntu 8.10 (where this bug exists too) to latest version 9.04 last

so I believe, that I should have the latest snapshot.
It still appears (maybe not appears, because it appears when you update
(not create) the connection config.

For testing I used the official image of ubuntu 8.10 alternate amd64
So I have made two pictures one in german-de locale and one in english-us
locale. There is the same problem with fileroller.
