Apparently, there are two versions that Amarok can use of libgpod4: one
with GTK, and one without. I guess that if you install the package
libgpod4, and then gnome, that should work. But that should be handled
more nicely, would you mind filing a bug against that package?

I like the integrated BBC content on Ubuntu. What I'd really like

Before setting blank_screen to true, the screen was just blanked but did
not activate the screenblanker I selected in the screensaver prefs.
If I set blank_screen to true the session locks. However, it still does
not activate the screensaver I selected in the screensaver prefs (it

BTW, thsis bug is rated low despite all the rumble about it.

IMHO this is high, because it's a major usability problem of a modern file
browser. I think in Windows 3.1 this was already possible.

Some weeks ago most of my email labels disappeared. I couldn't find a reason
for this. They disappeared from one day to other.
I don't know how to debug this. Is there any way to
even the ffmpeg version shipped in jaunty does support some variants of
AVCHD, AFAIU the upstream bugtracker. Possibly for some specific
camcorders some bugfixes need to be backported. Please file propoer

I am having trouble propagating the fix into my system.
I downloaded glib-2.20.1.tar.gz onto my Desktop.
Uncompressed it.
Patched it.
Typed:
connfigure
make install
Everything seemed to work, but I don't know how to replace the version I have
with the new one.
(Its probably simple, but I am not

After syncing appointments with google calendar they appear neetly in
google, but disappear from evolution after disconnect and reconnect.
Strange thing is they don´t disappear all of them. Luckily google keeps
all of them.

If you mean AVG (antivirus) - please note this is commerical product.
Canonical is not able to support commerical product.
If this is not about the anvivirus system made by Czech company please
give us more information. What happened?

I can not update AVG
I think the bug is invalid as I test live CD of Hardy, Intrepid and Jaunty and
all of them have the suspend option in gnome-power-manager but not the
hibernate.
It should be due the fact that live systems doesn't support hibernation.

I just installed the package desktop-file-utils and ran sudo update-
desktop-database and now the problem is solved: The applications show up
in the menu and work. So should this be a dependancy?

I had this same error occur to me while I was playing the Ziggurat
level without the stones being mixed due to lack of possible moves up
until the last two pieces which were sitting on top of each other and
since the mixing can't move the available positions, it wasn't able to
find a viable

I am also experiencing repeated attempts to access /dev/fd0. Since my
floppy drive actually exists, but there is no drive, I am going crazy
with its constant clicking. Running 'sudo modprobe -r floppy' gets rid
of the clicking, but the drive light stays on, which makes me wonder how
