File sizes should be SI units, not IEC units. Disks are measured in SI
units for a reason. The disk size and file size in GLib (Nautilus
especially) should be SI units, too. Even Apple does this now.

Just wanted to confirm that I appear to be seeing the same bug in Ubuntu
9.04, albeit in the 32-bit kernel (2.6.28-15-generic). There seems to
be a specific trigger before memory starts leaking on my system. RAM
usage is pretty reasonable for a while, from about 25-30MB while doing
normal tasks
Thanks for the tip on what to attach and how to get it. I take it that you
meant to say
sudo chown OLDUSER /home/OLDUSER/xsession-errors
(note the s after the x in xsession).
I am attaching the file as requested.
It looks like a display/graphics card/compiz issue. Oddly, this does not
come up
I'm seeing the same error and am attaching a backtrace, per the instructions
you cited.
I would suspect the problem stems from a calendar I imported or subscribed to,
since I was doing quite a bit of testing of iCalendar files before I upgraded
to 9.04.

I hit this problem too. When DVD Decrypter tries to write to my NAS
share via ~/.gvfs, it keeps complaining that there's no space available.
If I mount the share with mount -t cifs, DVD Decrypter detects the
amount of free space correctly. It is possible to copy files via
~/.gvfs, but this bug
Can a patch like looking in the extension of the file and see if the
codec is installed work?
Is really simple, but could work.
