I think there's something wrong with the file types detector, the mp3

This bug exist for the Asturian variant (ast_ES code).
The width of phrase Spain (Asturian variant with bottom-dot H and bottom-dot
L) in the GDM for choose the variant keyboard is very large, exceeding the
width of screen.
Could be shortened to Spain (Asturian)?
I just tried in Ubuntu 9.10
Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see in these bug reports that
any fix has been released.
The upstream bug was only closed because it was duped to a different
gnome bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=555284), which

Confirmed in 8.10 and 9.04 as well.
Seems like it might be trying to use the PC speaker rather than the available
Alsa/oss/pulse soundsystem.
