I guess it was due to missing codecs. anyways, after installing them
according to http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Codecs I can now play DVDs. just
want to mention that am playing DVDs I officially bought or borought
from a librarary and that was not possible prior to installing those
packages listed in
Crash popped up a couple of times fairly directly after logging in. It
doesn't seem to be caused by anything I did.

Confirmed on Asus Eeepc 1000h.
If the power cable is unplugged during a suspended state, the system will go
right back to suspend after login.
Basically.
1. plug system into ac power
2. close lid to suspend
3. disconnect power cord.
4. open lid to wake up.
5. system will wake up, ask for log

Binary package hint: brasero
hi, when burning an audio cd containing 1 mp3, then split with brasero,
all but the first track is loud static. i have tried with multiple mp3s
and they all result in the same behavior.
steps to reproduce. please have an mp3 handy.

On a dell studio 1737, after connecting a beamer, the resolution went
wrong.
There were 2 black strips on the top and bottem ( 1350x768).
I could not choise a higher resolution, i needed 1550x850.
So i added a workaround through a script.
