Looking into this problem I just found four more duplicates of this bug
and have counted about 45 people confirming this bug. This issue should
at the very least be mentioned in the release notes, given the
popularity of the MSI Wind U90, U120, U123, U100 models (as well as the

Using an upgraded Karmic RC on a MSI Wind U100, the screen flickers too after
login.
Only thing that helps is killing gnome-power.manager and starting it again.
This is a serious bug - Ubuntu is very unusable for the average user of
a Wind.

Ok I have a more in depth break down of the bugs behavior.
1) Gnome Keyring window is opened (in the forground)
2) Netbook Remix Launcher is opened (in the background)
3) Window manager, for some reason performs a focus event on NL (netbook
launcher)
4) In response, NL performs a wnck_screen_togg

This is somewhat confusing. After looking at the code for nl-window, it
appears it doesn't actually call gtk_window_present on itself at all. It
does that for transient windows assigned to itself but not on itself. I
think the keyring is actually getting minimized(?) rather than being
obstructed fr

I've pushed a tentative fix to my PPA, but can not reproduce the problem
to verify the fix.
I changed /etc/xdg/autostart/netbook-launcher.desktop to
Exec=/usr/bin/netbook-launcher-wrapper which is a shell script with:

Using the 9.10 release candidate, I installed epiphany-webkit and it ran
fine. I then installed epiphany-extensions and now the browser fails to
come up. The console shows many "error while compiling regular
expression" error
